Youths catch fish and a lot of fun at tournament

More than 700 youths and volunteers turned out for the annual Kids Fishing Tournament near San Jacinto.
The May 31 event at Golden Era Golf Course drew 260 young anglers and ended with 163 fish being caught, a news release states. More than 60 sponsors and volunteers, supported the tournament, which was free for families.

In the ages 11—15 category:

Kaylie Tugado won the award for the biggest fish, reeling in a 7-pound catch that was good for a trophy and four tickets to SeaWorld, the release states.
Local elected officials and police officials attended the tournament, which included a breakfast and a hamburger lunch.
