In Loving Memory of George Morris With heavy hearts, we share the passing of George Herbert Morris III, who peacefully left this world at his home, surrounded by his family in Longmont, Colorado on November 10, 2024. George passed after a 10.5 month battle with cancer. He was 48 years old, but in that time, he lived more than most do in a lifetime.
George was born a force of nature-driven, brilliant, and full of an energy that could light up any room. He was a fun, lively and adventurous family man, focused on his partner and children.
He also built a successful career as an entrepreneur and contributed greatly to his community, a life rich with connection and meaning. For the last three years he was an executive business coach and sincerely felt that he had found his career-calling. George had a rare gift: the ability to make anyone feel comfortable, as if they had been friends forever. Whether you were a stranger in passing or a loved one at his side, he would talk to you, truly see you, and make you feel valued.
Even in his final months, George's spirit remained unshaken. He faced each challenge with courage and grace, pouring his heart into every moment, every conversation, every act of love. And for those who knew him, that heart lives on-in the stories we share, the laughter he brought, and the kindness he left behind.
George loved the outdoors, he would often be hiking or mountain biking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where he lived. He loved to travel and had visited many countries. He was a talented artist and writer. He had passion and interest in endless areas.
George leaves behind his beloved family; his life partner Stefanie Greenleaf, his two children Jillian Morris and Kyle Morris, and his step-son and Stefanie's son, Jobin Maher.
George was the son of Shirley Morris of Holland, PA and the late George Herbert Morris II. He is also survived by his brother Kenny Morris and his wife Donna Morris of Rockledge, PA; his sister Sharon Hoeksema of Quakertown, PA; his brother Bill Morris and his wife Andrea Morris of Perkasie, PA. He leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews. George was also very close with Stefanie's family who treated him as he were their own: her mom, step-dad, brother, sister-in-law, sister and brother-in-law. All of these loved ones will forever cherish his wisdom, love and unstoppable energy.
While the world feels a little dimmer without him, his light continues in the countless lives he touched.
There were two Celebrations of Life that have already occurred, one in Boulder, CO and the other in New Hope, PA. Both were greatly attended by friends and family from all over, George was loved by many.
In his memory, we ask that you honor George by embracing life as he did-fearlessly, fully, and with an open heart.
Rest easy, George. You are deeply missed, endlessly loved, and never forgotten.
