Oogie Boogie Bash will be back again this year with more nights than ever and the earliest kickoff in the history of the annual Halloween after-hours party at the Disneyland Resort.

Oogie Boogie Bash will run on 31 nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31 at Disney California Adventure.

We’ve got all the details, dates and ticket info available at this time for the event, with more information expected to be released as we get closer to Halloween.

Oogie Boogie Bash will run on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nights with the exception of Halloween — which falls on a Friday.

Here are the dates:

Aug. 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28, 31

Sept. 2, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30

Oct. 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, 31

The five-hour party starts at 6 p.m., with mix-in beginning three hours earlier.

Disneyland has already confirmed that the Frightfully Fun Parade and Villains Grove haunted walk-thru will be back, along with trick-or-treat trails, meet-and-greet photo ops with Disney characters in Halloween costumes, themed food and drinks and collectible merchandise.

Disney PhotoPass will once again offer unlimited free downloads, and each attendee will get a commemorative keepsake.

Adults and kids can dress up in costume for the event — but there are a few rules.

Dressing up like a Disney, Pixar, Marvel or “Star Wars” character is permitted, but you can’t pose for photos or sign autographs.

Costumes can’t be offensive, violent or objectionable (even if that sounds like a dead-ringer description of Deadpool). Costumes can’t drag on the ground (this covers pretty much every full-length Disney princess dress) or have any sharp or pointed details (leave your Vibranium spear at home).

Disneyland has not announced when tickets will go on sale or how much admission will cost for the separate admission event.

Tickets cost $134 to $189 in 2024, with the prices rising the closer you got to Halloween. Starting ticket prices rose $5 to $10 in 2023 but didn’t increase in 2024.

Disneyland launched ticket sales in 2024 during the last week of June with Inspire Magic Keyholders getting the first batch, followed by all Magic Keyholders and then the general public.

The online ticket window waiting room opened at approximately 8:45 a.m., with sales starting no earlier than 9 a.m. each day.

Ticketbuyers waiting in the online queue could get notified by email when it was their turn to buy tickets by using the “notify me” option.

A limited number of tickets were available for the two Magic Key presales.

You will want to keep an eye out in June, when Disneyland is expected to announce the on-sale dates for Oogie Boogie Bash.

When tickets do finally go on sale you’ll need to move fast. In past years, every night has sold out in days if not hours.

Magic Keyholders don’t get any discounts on Oogie Boogie Bash tickets. The events happen rain or shine and there are no refunds. Parking is not included in the ticket price.

If you miss out on tickets, don’t even think about buying them on eBay or StubHub.

Disneyland is watching. Very closely.

They can’t be resold or transferred — and Disneyland will revoke scalped tickets.

And if you like being an annual passholder, don’t even think about trying to sell your extra Oogie Boogie Bash tickets on the aftermarket — because Disneyland will revoke your Magic Key and ban you from the park.

Oogie Boogie Bash is separate from Halloween Time at Disneyland and Plaza de la Familia at California Adventure, which both kick off Aug. 22 and take over the parks during the All Hallow’s Eve season.

All the Halloween attraction overlays you’ve known from seasons past are expected to return, including Haunted Mansion; Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout!; Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree; and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters.
