


ORLANDO, FL (>> Jaylin Seller scored 18 points, Darius Johnson added 17 and Central Florida erased a 16-point deficit to beat No. 3 Kansas 65-60 on Wednesday night.
UCF’s victory came one night after No. 1 Purdue and second-ranked Houston lost.
Ibrahima Diallo broke a 57-57 tie with less than three minutes left with a hook shot over Jayhawks (13-2, 1-1 Big 12) star Hunter Dickinson. He then blocked a KJ Adams Jr. shot with 50 seconds left to help the Knights (10-4, 1-1) preserve the lead and score the program’s first Big 12 conference win.
Diallo had 13 points, five rebounds and a block to help anchor a UCF defense that forced eight turnovers and blocked four shots in the second half alone.
Kansas had 18 turnovers. The UCF center triad of Ibrahima Diallo, C.J. Walker and Omar Payne recorded five of the team’s seven blocks.
Kevin McCullar Jr. scored 16 points to lead Kansas. Dickinson had only 12 points and played 28 minutes because of foul trouble.
MIssissippi State 77, Tennesseee 72 >> Tolu Smith scored 23 points, including a three-point play with 14.7 seconds remaining, to lead Mississippi State over No. 5 Tennessee in Starkville,.
The win marked Mississippi State’s first win over a Top 5 team since defeating Oklahoma in December of 2002. The Vols are the fourth top five team to lose in the past 24 hours as No. 1 Purdue, No. 2 Houston and No. 3 Kansas also were beaten.
Freshman Josh Hubbard led Mississippi State (12-3, 1-1 in SEC) with 25 points, highlighted by a 5 of 10 showing from 3 point territory.
North Carolina 67, North Carolina State 54 >> RJ Davis scored 16 points and Harrison Ingram had a career-best 19 rebounds to help No. 7 North Carolina take over in the second half and beat rival North Carolina State in Raleigh.
Freshman guard Elliott Cadeau added 11 points and six assists for the Tar Heels (12-3, 4-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who grinded through a tough shooting night for both teams by finally stretching out a lead midway through the second half. UNC ran off a 15-2 spurt, getting a terrific wraparound bounce feed from Cadeau to Armando Bacot for a dunk before the rookie made two free throws that put UNC up 63-48 near the 5-minute mark.
TCU 80, OKLAHOMA 71 >> Emanuel Miller scored a season-high 27 points and had nine rebounds as TCU beat ninth-ranked Oklahoma, making the Sooners the fifth Top 10 team over two nights to lose to an unranked foe.
Oklahoma (13-2, 1-1 Big 12) quickly erased a six-point halftime deficit when Javian McCollum hit two 3-pointers in the first 32 seconds after the break — the tying shot coming off a TCU turnover.
But the Sooners didn’t score again until almost four minutes later on Milos Uzan’s baseline drive for a reverse layup, and they trailed 49-44 then.
Miller scored seven points in that span for the Horned Frogs (12-3, 1-1). He had the go-ahead layup and also had a three-point play, driving for another layup and then making the free throw after being fouled.
McCollum had 17 points to lead Oklahoma, while John Hugley had 14, Uzan 13 and Jalon Moore 10.
Avery Anderson III added 15 points for TCU. Jameer Nelson Jr. had 13 and Chuck O’Bannon Jr. 11.
Wisconsin 71, Ohio State 60 >> Max Klesmit scored all of his 18 points in the second half as No. 15 Wisconsin won their fifth straight, rallying to beat Ohio State in Columbus.
A 3-pointer from Klesmit put Wisconsin up by 1 with a 5:16 left. The defense kept the clamps on Ohio State as Klesmit kept shooting, scoring nine of the last 14 points for the Badgers (12-3, 4-0 Big Ten).
AJ Storr had 15 of his 17 points in the first half for the Badgers, the only undefeated team in the Big Ten.
Jamison Battle had another impressive performance for Ohio State (12-4, 2-3), pacing the Buckeyes with 18 points. Bruce Thornton had 13 despite missing his last four shots. The Buckeyes have lost two straight.
Connecticut 80, Xavier 75 >> Cam Spencer scored 19 points and Tristen Newton had 16 as No. 4 UConn held off Xavier in Cincinnati.
Memphis 107, Texas-San Antonio 101 >> Jahvon Quinerly scored 25 points, including nine in overtime, as No. 13 Memphis survived another close call defeating UTSA in Memphis, Tenn.
Virginia Tech 87, Clemson 72 >> Sean Pedulla scored a career-high 32 points to lead Virginia Tech past No. 21 Clemson in Blacksburg, Va.
Northwestern 76, Penn State 72 >> Brooks Barnhizer scored a career-high 23 points, Boo Buie had 17 points and eight assists and Northwestern beat Penn State at University Park, Pa., for its first win in the series since the 2019-20 season.

Iowa 96, Purdue 71 >> Caitlin Clark finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and No. 3 Iowa made 15 3-pointers as the Hawkeyes routed Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. Clark now has 15 career triple-doubles, four this season.
Connecticut 85, Providence 41 >> Ashlynn Shade scored 17 points, KK Arnold had 16 points and eight of UConn’s season-high 20 steals and the No. 13 Huskies beat Providence for the 34th consecutive time. Paige Bueckers had 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Huskies.
Kansas 87, Baylor 66 >> Taiyanna Jackson had a career-high 27 points with 19 rebounds, S’Mya Nichols and Holly Kersgieter gave No. 4 Baylor fits from the perimeter, and Kansas snapped a 19-game losing streak to the visiting Bears.
TEXAS 72, TCU 60 >> Madison Booker scored 21 points, Taylor Jones had 13 and No. 10 Texas beat the visiting HOrned Frogs. Booker, a freshman, added seven rebounds and six assists as Texas (16-1, 3-1 Big 12) won its third straight game.
Indiana 75, Penn State 67 >> Mackenzie Holmes had 21 points and 13 rebounds, Sydney Parrish added 20 points, and Indiana extended its winning streak to 13 games with a victory over the visiting Nittany Lions.
Northwestern 74, Wisconsin 69 >> Caleigh Walsh had 19 points and Melannie Daley added 12 as the Wildcats beat the Badgers in Madison, Wis.
