Salinas

Claudia J. Peterson, née Bonnefoy was born April 27, 1923 in Paris, France and died peacefully at home on June 5, 2025 at age 102. She emigrated to the United States after her marriage to Harry “Pete” Peterson on April 10, 1948. They were married for 66 years until Pete’s death in June, 2014.

Claudia was a talented artist and teacher, a prolific note taker, a lover of books, literature, poetry, family and friends. She will be forever missed, loved and remembered by her children, Linda Puchrik of Monterey, Vickie (Robert) LoFranco of Tacoma, and James Peterson of Fresno, grandsons Brent Puchrik, Dominic (Talia) LoFranco and Tristan Peterson, granddaughters April (Aaron) Patch and Angelina (Chase) Malloy. She also leaves behind four great grandsons Micah, Judah, Henrik and Charlie, four great granddaughters Ashley, Ryley, Maya, Isa and three great-great grandsons Jayce, Jax and Aiden. Her sister Françoise Szeemann of Paris, France, nephew Jerome Szeemann of Switzerland and niece Valerie Szeemann of Paris, France.

A remembrance of her life will be held at a later date.
