BOSTON - With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Leonard Beach on May 5, 2025, at the age of 86. Affectionately known as Daddy, Poppy, Uncle Lenny, Mr. Beach—or simply Leonard to those closest to him— he was a deeply cherished figure in the lives of all who knew him.

Born in Norwell, Massachusetts, and raised in the greater Boston area, Leonard dedicated his life to family, community, and service. He retired after many years with the Boston Housing Authority, where he was admired for his dedication, reliability, and kindness. Aman of quiet strength, Leonard was a beacon of wisdom, support, and unconditional love. His warmth and gentle presence brought comfort and joy to all who crossed his path.

Leonard was a true pillar of his community, residing in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston for many years. Whether offering a smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand, he left a lasting impression wherever he went. He found his greatest happiness in the company of his loved ones, building a home filled with tradition, laughter, and love.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Christopher Beach, and his siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Louise Beach; his loving daughters, Sherri (husband Mr. Tracy Stephans), Lanise (husband Dr. Karl Thompson), and Lapria; his cherished grandchildren, Angelina, Cherice, Shanica, Hope, Ayanna, Deja, Natalia, Hadassah, E’moni, and E’yauna; his siblings, June and Richie; and a host of extended family and lifelong friends.

In honor of his wishes, and with the family’s decision, there will be no formal funeral service. His family will honor him privately at a later date.

Leonard’s life was a beautiful example of love in action. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
