San Rafael couldn’t make a five-run lead stand up during Tuesday’s 8-7 road loss to the Dublin Leprechauns, who are making a late push to unseat the first-place Pacifics.

The division-leading Pacifics (34-15) hold a two-game lead over the Leprechauns (32-17-1), with Bakersfield another game back. San Rafael has just seven games left in the regular season, including Saturday’s home contest against Dublin at Albert Park.

Kyle Guerra and John Bicos both hit two-run doubles during a five-run fifth inning for San Rafael, but Dublin answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame. The Leprechauns outscored the Pacifics 3-1 over the next two innings to seal the win.

Blake Diggle was 2-for-4 for San Rafael and Aki Buckson reached base four times and scored twice.
