Ron passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 95, at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville. He was born on October 28, 1929 in Auburn, California, to Alice and Clarence Simpkins. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from San Jose State University in 1952 and then served in the US Air Force as a Second Lieutenant during the Korean War from 1952 to 1953. He married Juanita Simpkins and together they raised their four children. Ron had a successful career as a Civil Engineer until he retired in 2008 with his second wife, Andree Simpkins. He is survived by his children; Teri Davis (Dana), Greg Simpkins (Lori), Brad Simpkins (Catalina), Alicia Pippus (John Brunetti); six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He will be interred at the Old Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, California.
