Chesterfield Township’s new Chick-fil-A is officially open for business.

The popular fast food chain celebrated the grand opening of the new restaurant on 23 Mile Road on Nov. 14. Cars lined up early to try the new spot and continued to roll through the drive-thru lanes throughout the day.

Metro Detroit native John Shamam is the local owner-operator of the new restaurant, which is anticipated to employ about 150 full- and part-time team members.

The opening marks the company’s third Macomb County location, with the other two in Shelby Township and Roseville. St. Clair County’s first Chick-fil-A opened earlier this month in Fort Gratiot Township.

The Chesterfield Township Chick-fil-A is located at 27322 23 Mile Road, west of Gratiot Avenue. The restaurant is open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. For more information, visit chick-fil-a.com.
