Denver Jones scored 21 points as No. 1 Auburn held off host Vanderbilt 80-68 on Tuesday night to avoid the Tigers’ first losing skid of the season.

Chaney Johnson had 20 points for Auburn (22-2, 10-1 SEC).

The Tigers snapped back from their home loss to Florida last weekend.

Jason Edwards led the Commodores (17-7, 5-6) with 13 points.

NO. 3 FLORIDA 81, NO. 22 MISSISSIPPI ST. 68: Denzel Aberdeen had a game-high 20 points to lead the visiting Gators over the Bulldogs. Thomas Haugh scored 16 points for Florida (21-3, 8-3 SEC). Josh Hubbard had 19 points for Mississippi State (17-7, 5-6).

NO. 15 KENTUCKY 75, NO. 5 TENNESSEE 64: Ansley Almonor and Otega Oweh scored 13 points each and the host Wildcats defeated the Volunteers.

Kentucky (17-7, 6-5 SEC) completed a regular season sweep of Tennessee.

Zakai Zeigler led Tennessee (21-5, 7-5) with 17 points.

INDIANA 71, NO. 11 MICHIGAN STATE 67: Malik Renea scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half to help the visiting Hoosiers beat the Spartans, leaving Michigan State coach Tom Izzo on the brink of breaking Bob Knight’s Big Ten wins record.

Indiana (15-10, 6-8 Big Ten) had lost five straight.

The left Izzo with 353 Big Ten wins that match the mark Knight set at Indiana. Jaden Akins led Michigan State (19-5, 10-3) with 14 points.

KANSAS ST. 73, NO. 13 ARIZONA 70: Dug McDaniel scored a season-high 24 points and the host Wildcats (13-11, 7-6 Big 12) beat the visiting Wildcats for their sixth straight victory. KJ Lewis led Arizona (17-7, 11-2) with 15 points off the bench.

UCONN 70, NO. 24 CREIGHTON 66: Liam McNeeley scored a season-high 38 points and had 10 rebounds and the visiting Huskies (17-7, 9-4 Big East) ended the Bluejays’ nine-game winning streak. Ryan Kalkbrenner and Steven Ashworth led Creighton (18-7, 11-3) with 13 points apiece.

WOMEN

NO. 25 BAYLOR, 75, NO. 18 WEST VIRGINIA 65: Aaronette Vonleh scored 15 of her 21 points in the second half and the host Bears beat the Mountaineers. Darianna Littlepage-Buggs had nine points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for Baylor (21-5, 11-2 Big 12). Jordan Harrison had 20 points for West Virginia (19-5, 9-4).
