Joe Rogan, who is known for his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” has provided an update on how his sobriety is going.
Rogan shared recently that he has not had a drink in “about two months.” He revealed the news on his Instagram account and added that he is very happy with his decision.
“Almost makes me feel dumb for not quitting a long time ago,” he posted. “I do so many things to stay healthy only to sabotage it with booze multiple days a week. Glad my dumb (expletive) figured it out eventually.”
Rogan talks frequently on his podcast about trying to stay healthy and being careful with what he puts into his body.
He believes that he was making a mistake by being careful in some aspects but also regularly drinking alcohol.
Michael Pitt accused of sex abuse, assault by ex
Actor Michael Pitt, known for his TV roles on “Boardwalk Empire” and “Dawson’s Creek,” is accused of sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend, choking her and attacking her with a cinder block and a piece of lumber at his New York City home, according to a grand jury indictment.
Pitt, 44, whose lawyers denied the allegations, was arrested Friday on nine counts, including first-degree sexual abuse, criminal sexual acts, assault, attempted assault and strangulation. The indictment cites four incidents from April 2020 to August 2021 at Pitt’s home.
Pitt’s lawyer, Jason Goldman, said he already had exonerating evidence and expected the case to be dismissed.
“This baseless claim is suspiciously raised some four or five years after the alleged incident, from a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual relationship,” Goldman said.
Pitt pleaded not guilty to the charges Friday and posted $100,000 bail, Goldman said.
soundgarden is aiming to complete last album
A rock band’s surviving members plan to release a final album they were working on with its iconic singer.
Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil told Rolling Stone that the group was working on new music before Chris Cornell’s death in 2017. Now that the grunge rock band is headed to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there’s a new push to share it with fans.
“Our objective and goal was always to complete that (album),” Thayil told the magazine.
According to Ultimate Classic Rock, unreleased Soundgarden material was part of a dispute between the band and Cornell’s widow, Vicky Cornell.
A settlement of multiple lawsuits was reached in 2023 but didn’t appear to resolve the issue of releasing new music.
