The city of West Sacramento was selected as one of of over 90 cities worldwide to receive Round 2 funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund. With an additional $100,000 secured, West Sacramento reaffirms its commitment to empowering young leaders in the fight against climate change.
This funding will be distributed as microgrants through the city’s nonprofit partner, Breathe California Sacramento Region, to support youth-led climate initiatives. Youth ages 15 to 24 are encouraged to apply for funding to support projects such as tree planting, public education campaigns, climate-focused art initiatives, and recycling and waste reduction programs.
