OROVILLE >> The man who shot two boys at Feather River Seventh-day Adventist School was reported visiting another Seventh-day Adventist school in Chico, months prior to the shooting Dec. 4.

New details released from an investigation by Butte County Sheriff’s Office and Chico Police Department found evidence the man, Glenn Litton, 54, of Chico, took a tour of the Chico Oaks Seventh-day Adventist School in June.

Megan McMann, public information officer for Butte County Sheriff’s Office, said in a email Thursday that Litton is indicated to have come onto the campus asking questions relevant to enrolling a kid into the school.

Litton used the reasoning, to enroll a kid into school, to gain access to the Feather River Seventh-day Adventist School just before the shooting occurred, according to investigators.

The Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post that the two boys who were injured, Roman Mendez, 6, and Elias Wolford, 5, were still in the hospital Friday afternoon.

The boys were able to see each other and are getting stronger every day.
