Born in Long Beach, Long Island to Frank and Cecilia Rohr (youngest of 4); attended Middlebury, graduated Wilson College.
Joyce's adventurous spirit took her to Mexico; sailing with brother Frank; skiing in Aspen in the 50s. Having fallen in love with Colorado, moved to Eldorado in 1960 with "Ran" Sclar, raising children, horses, dogs; later moved to Sunshine Canyon where she hosted Democratic fund raisers. After divorce in the 70s, taught classical guitar in the CU dept of Cont.
Ed, laying the foundation for guitar dept. Master's degree, classical guitar, Ithaca College; helped found the Boulder Bach Festival.
Joyce's love of classical music shaped her life.
Established Rohr Artists Management, promoting concerts and musicians around the world. After reconnecting with sweetheart Olfert Voss, moved to Denmark; they traveled from Copenhagen to Campiglia to Boulder, following his archaeological digs, her music, and the sun; a wonderful life; she will be sorely missed.
Survived by sister Constance Reiter.
Children: Bradley (Carolyn) Sclar, Deborah (Brian Dunn) Sclar, Randall Sclar.
Grandchildren: Conrad, Cooper, Chloe, Adrianna and cherished Danish family.
