Los Angeles housing crisis

You write we must have 456,000 new housing units before 2029. Where will all these new 456,000 plus cars drive? On our packed freeways, where it’s “stop and go” even during non-rush hour times? You also say our council members should approve multi-housing units in single family zones. I bought my home with the understanding that it was in a single-family home area. It’s appalling that they are allowed to change the existing laws right under us, and add multi story buildings in our areas, without us having any say. I keep hearing “more homes,” it’s a state law. What about making some laws to improve transportation?

Gov. Gavin Newsom

Newsom has been running for president since Day 1 of taking office as governor. Douglas Schoen points out all of his “attributes” as a politician: Raising lots of money, willingness to debate, oratorical skills, attempting to move to the center. What Schoen fails to acknowledge is that Newsom has the same problem as Kamala Harris. He is inauthentic and a total phony that has run California into the ground. Will that play well with the working class in the middle of the country? I doubt it.

Gov. Gavin Newsom

Canadians must be exhaling a sigh of relief when they heard the news that PM Justin Trudeau is resigning, and that a new government can be formed in March following a February election. Parliament will be suspended until a new leader is elected. It’s likely that the Conservative Party will prevail in the election.

Most Americans and Canadians are beyond fed up with the anti-business and anti-democracy policies of condescending leadership. Trudeau represents the dystopian world view of the woke industrial complex that damaged all sectors of society with open borders, persistent inflation, identity politics, homelessness, pandemic policies and high taxes.

Trudeau seemed to have no self-awareness as to the impact of his policies on regular folks, and perhaps he didn’t care. Most folks merely want economic opportunity, free speech, secure borders, better schools, reduced inflation, and public safety. Trudeau failed to facilitate the implementation of these major issues. Sounds much like Gavin Newsom, right?
