Monte Sereno

Lou Ann passed away peacefully on May 31st at the age of 90. In her last days she was surrounded by loving family members and kept her wonderful sense of humor even in her final hours. Lou Ann was born and raised in Woodland, California and in 1958 received a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from The University of Washington. She met her husband Dr. John Boswell of 54 years who predeceased her in 2011, at The University of Washington.

She was an elementary school teacher until such time as she started raising the family full time. Lou Ann was a beloved member of the Saratoga community where she raised the family. She was a talented and creative seamstress and ran a successful business from home for many years. As well, she had apassion for flowers and worked as a floral designer for many years. She loved her garden and was a fierce Giants and Warriors fan and loved her cats Stephie and Curry who were by her side to the end.

She is survived by her brother David Epperson and loving children Julie Werner, John Boswell, David Boswell and Paul Boswell and her 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

There will not be a formal memorial service but please feel free to plant some beautiful flowers in her honor.
