Resident of San Jose

Michael passed away peacefully early November 28th. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorraine, daughter Ann Nunziata, and her husband Jon Fitch.

Michael was the embodiment of the American Dream. Born to Italian immigrant parents in Brooklyn, NY, Mike graduated from technical school and served in the US Air Force as aradar technician during the Korean War. As a civilian he worked at IBM and rose to the position of Sr. Technical Writer, making Quarter Century Status. Mike kept in touch with IBM employees and friends as a member of the IBM Retirement Club.

Mike was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed supporting his daughter’s many activities starting with the San Jose Cindergals on into high school sports, serving as president of the Santa Teresa High School Booster Club. He enjoyed Stanford football, SF Giants baseball, the SJ Sharks and was a prize winning golfer. He was also actively involved in Santa Teresa Church, the Italian Catholic Federation, Sons In Retirement and Toastmasters Intl.

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 12:00 P.M. on December 17, 2024 at Santa Teresa Church, 794 Calero Avenue, San Jose. Private Family Interment. In lieu of flowers, donation to your favorite charity is suggested.
