USAF Col Dennis Lee Capper, passed away the morning of February 17, 2025. He wasborn inGer- ing Nebraska on May 15, 1933. At age seven his family relocated to Platteville, Colorado, where they farmed until he graduated as high school valedictorian and went to Denver University. In 1955 he left college to join the USAF as a “break” from school. The day he received his officer’s commission he married Patricia Gayle Capper, who preceded him in death on April 10, 2021. The Air Force became his career, and put him through college for an electrical engineering degree, and then a masters degree in economics.

The Air Force was also responsible for multiple changes of address until he and his family settled in San Jose, CA in 1977.

Lee Capper was also preceded in death by his daughter Karen Capper Burch, who passed away on June 30, 1988. Survivors are his daughter Debora, and sons David, Ken and daughter-in-law Joy. He is also survived by his grandchildren Denise Burch, Conrad and Chet Garrison, Cade and Jorie Capper and great-grandchildren Jack and Lily Byllesby. He is also survived by his sister Dorothy-Carol Holden and brother Don Capper. Interment will be at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
