Winter will make its return today as this latest storm system slowly moves through the region. This storm has the moisture and the ability to pull enough cold air to drop fresh snow on the region. The recent summer temperatures last week did a great job melting any lingering snowbanks and warming the soil, but the snowfall intensity with this storm may be enough to overcome all of that. Today will be a combination of cold temperatures and strong blustery winds; we’ll see gusts approaching 30 to 50 mph later today. The good news is the sunshine returns quickly tomorrow, and we’ll see more seasonal temperatures by the middle of the week.
