



1. INGLEWOOD 10-0
Analysis: The Sentinels wrapped up the Bay League title with a 52-27 win over Culver City. Ray Gilbert had five receptions for 182 yards and three touchdowns and Sarrel Howard had three of Inglewood’s 10 sacks. Inglewood has won Pioneer, Ocean and Bay League titles since Mil’von James took over as coach in 2019.

2. SERRA 7-3
Analysis: Serra fell one point short against Sierra Canyon, losing 21-20, in the showdown for the Mission League title. CJ McBean had 10 catches for 186 yards and a touchdown and 10 tackles.

3. LEUZINGER 8-2
Analysis: The only question for Leuzinger in last week’s regular-season finale was if Journee Tonga would reach 2,000 yards. Mission accomplished. The junior running back rushed for 91 yards to give him 2,016 yards through 10 games.

4. NORTH TORRANCE 8-1
Analysis: The Saxons won their second consecutive undefeated Pioneer League title, ending the regular season with a 34-14 win over Torrance. Boogie Anetema completed 19 of 28 passes for 345 yards and five touchdowns, with three TDs going to Felix Alvillar.

5. NARBONNE 8-2
Analysis: The Gauchos picked up four forfeit Marine League wins to get their first league title since 2018. Now comes the challenge of getting back into competition mode for the playoffs.

6. PALOS VERDES 5-5
Analysis: The Sea Kings needed a win in the final game of the regular season and they got it, defeating Mira Costa 20-13 in overtime to finish second in the Bay League. Ryan Rakoskwi completed 24 of 32 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 81 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
Next: Friday, vs. Brea Olinda at South Torrance HS, CIF-SS Division 5 playoffs.
7. MIRA COSTA 5-5
Analysis: The Mustangs ended the regular season with three consecutive losses, the last two by a combined 15 points. Joaquin Wagner-Bagues led the defense with 15 tackles in last week’s overtime loss against Palos Verdes. He also rushed for 88 yards.

8. REDONDO 8-2
Analysis: The Sea Hawks finished second in the Pioneer League with last week’s 49-20 win over South Torrance. Six different players scored at least one touchdown.

9. TORRANCE 8-2
Analysis: The Tartars had their four-game winning streak snapped with a loss to North in the final game of the regular season. Jake Silverman had 20 tackles and forced one fumble in the loss.

10. CARSON 6-4
Analysis: The Colts ended the regular season with their forfeit loss against Narbonne. The Colts finished second in the Marine League and are the second seed in the City Open Division playoffs.

11. WEST TORRANCE 8-2
Analysis: The Warriors won the Ocean League title, their first league championship since 2014, with Friday’s 38-21 win over El Segundo. Eli Brandt completed 16 of 22 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns.

12. PENINSULA 6-4
Analysis: The Panthers rushed for 312 yards, led by Kamran Dowlatshai’s 202 yards and four touchdowns, in a 49-13 win over Santa Monica to finish fourth in the Pioneer League. The Panthers secured an at-large berth to the playoffs.

13. SAN PEDRO 7-3
Analysis: The Pirates closed the regular season with a 17-3 win over Gardena and earned the third seed in the L.A. City Section Open Division playoffs.

14. GARDENA 7-3
Analysis: The Panthers lost their last three games, including a forfeit to Narbonne, to end the regular season. The Panthers are the fifth seed in the Open Division playoffs.

15. BANNING 4-6
Analysis: The Pilots’ regular season ended Oct. 25 with a 45-21 loss to Carson. They will have nearly two more weeks off before the start of the City Section playoffs.
