Led by local players of the year Stella Laird and Sahasra Kolli, 18 girls tennis players from Boulder, Broomfield and Longmont were named to this year’s Colorado High School Activities Association’s all-state team.

Laird, the Daily Camera POY, was the area’s lone Class 5A first-teamer after she reached the No. 1 singles semifinal at the individual state tournament earlier this month. Kolli did the same in 4A following her runner-up finish at No. 1 singles.

Peak to Peak had nine players make the 3A team after the Pumas won the classification’s team dual title.

Lena Crotty (1S) led the way on the first team, which also included teammates Sydney Lewis (2S), Sydney Parkinson and Molly Kolachov (1 doubles), and Lhadze Olsen and El Allen-Bonney (2D).

Prospect Ridge Academy, which lost to the Pumas in the 3A team final, had five on the list, with three — Maya Anderson, who won the 3 singles title, and Natalie Rooks and Amelia Waggoner (3D) — on the first team.

Dawson’s Isabella Jacobsma was the other local 3A first-teamer after she reached the class’ No. 1 singles semifinals.

Meanwhile, on second teams, Boulder’s Tessa Botha (1S) made it in 5A. Peak to Peak’s Ranye Ezenekwe (3S) and Abby Fitzgerald and Jolie Sasseville (3D) were on 3A’s, as were PRA’s Omi McGee (1S) and Shannon Schmidt (2S).

Peak to Peak’s Mike Crotty was named 3A’s coach of the year.
