Taste local favorites

Takin’ it to the streets

Street Scenes will be held outdoors for the first time July 16-17 at the Mundelein campus of Carmel Catholic High School. Hours are from 3 to 11 p.m. July 16 and noon to 6 p.m. July 17. Admission is $10-$20. At 1 Carmel Parkway. Go to facebook.com and search for Street Scenes 2022.

Sing the blues

The Smiley Tillmon Band will perform from 8 to 11 p.m. July 16 at the Venue in Aurora. Tickets are $15-$20. At 21 S. Broadway Ave. Go to themusicvenue.org/.
