Vikings at Bears (-5½)

New Minnesota quarterback Kyler Murray was knocked out early in the season opener against Green Bay by a helmet-to-helmet hit. Vikings trainers initially feared Murray might have suffered a brain injury when he sat up on the turf and suggested that he be replaced by J.J. McCarthy.

Pick: Bears by 3

Packers at Jets (+4½)

Green Bay blew another huge lead in its Week 1 loss to the Vikings and is now 0-6 in games without injured edge rusher Micah Parsons. Of course, the Packers could still beat these Jets if they had Jim Parsons rushing the passer.

Pick: Packers by 9

Steelers at Patriots (-5½)

New England’s Drake Maye threw away the season opener in Seattle by chucking three fourth-quarter interceptions. We haven’t seen anyone with the Patriots struggle that badly since Mike Vrabel was asked about Dianna Russini.

Pick: Patriots by 3

Commanders at Cowboys (-3½)

Stefon Diggs cost Washington dearly, earning an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for mounting the goal post after his late touchdown, helping lead to the Commanders’ loss in Philly. As idiotic as that play looked, it still doesn’t make the top 20 list of stupid things Diggs has done.

Pick: Cowboys by 7

Colts at Chiefs (-6½)

Hollywood favorite Tom Cruise raised some eyebrows when he was spotted in a Kansas City suite chewing the fat with Travis Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift. The “Maverick” actor set a Monday Night Football record for desperation to promote a new movie.

Pick: Chiefs by 7

Saints at Ravens (-8½)

Derrick Henry ran for three touchdowns last week, passing Marcus Allen for third on the NFL’s all-time list with 125 rushing TDs. For those with short memories, Allen is a hall of famer and one of the Heisman Trophy winners from USC who never killed anybody.

Pick: Ravens by 3

Dolphins at 49ers (-12½)

Former Niners QB Colin Kaepernick was back in the news this week, a decade after he last played in the league. Since he’s now 38 and hasn’t taken the field in more than 10 years, it’s obvious he couldn’t start for any NFL team … except the Cleveland Browns.

Pick: 49ers by 24

Browns at Bucs (-8½)

Cleveland’s Deshaun Watson is complaining that the media are setting expectations for him way too high. The Browns’ quarterback has a point, as it’s only fair that he be compared to his true peers such as Justin Tucker, Robert Kraft and Kevin Spacey.

Pick: Buccaneers by 11

Giants at Rams (-6½)

The jet-lagged Rams showed up late in Australia and looked horrible getting routed by San Francisco in their opener. Analysts agreed it was the worst performance they had seen Down Under since “Crocodile Dundee II.”

Pick: Rams by 1

Seahawks at Cards (+4½)

Seattle’s Sam Darnold is sidelined this week by a glute injury. The quarterback’s debilitating pain is similar to that suffered by the Vikings, terribly butt hurt back in February when the QB they rejected was Super Bowl MVP.

Pick: Seahawks by 7
