Ishmael Leggett scored 21 points to lead Pittsburgh to an 83-68 victory over Stanford on Saturday.
Leggett missed all four of his 3-pointers but was 9 for 9 from inside the arc for the Panthers (12-2, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), who have won 15 in a row at home dating to last season. Pitt, off to its best start since the 2016-17 season with its fifth straight win, extended its school record with an eighth straight victory in ACC play.
Maxime Raynaud scored 21 to lead the Cardinal (9-5, 1-2), who opened their first ACC season with three straight road games. Chisom Okpara came off the bench to score 14.
Jaland Lowe had 16 points, five assists and four steals for Pitt. Zack Austin scored 11 for Pitt and also blocked two shots to become the fourth player in NCAA history to total 1,200 points, 600 rebounds, 175 3-pointers and 200 blocks over a career.
Leggett scored 13 to help Pittsburgh take a 38-30 lead into halftime. Jaylen Blakes hit a 3-pointer to put Stanford up 18-9 with 12:16 remaining. Leggett scored four and Jaland Lowe buried a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left as the Panthers closed with a 12-5 run.
UNLV 79, SAN JOSE STATE 73 >> UNLV avoided an upset by San Jose State (7-9, 0-4 Mountain West), which clawed back from a 20-point second-half deficit to trail by just three before falling short.
Point guard Dedan Thomas Jr. led the Rebels (9-5, 3-0) with 17 points.
Josh Uduje had a game-high 18 points for the Spartans (7-9, 0-4), who made a late comeback bid. UNLV had a 20-point lead midway through the second half that was reduced to three after a 14-0 run that stretched into the final four minutes.
Washington State 91, USF 82 >> LeJuan Watts finished with a career-high 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead Washington State over USF in Pullman, Wash.
Watts, a sophomore, also had five assists on the way to his sixth double-double of the season for the Cougars (13-3, 3-0 WCC), who have won four in a row. Ethan Price added 20 points, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks.
Malik Thomas led the way for the Dons (13-4, 3-1) with 34 points and three steals before fouling out. Junjie Wang added 13 points and Carlton Linguard finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.
NO. 1 TENNESSEE 76, NO. 23 ARKANSAS 52 >> Chaz Lanier scored 29 points to lead the Volunteers (14-0, 1-0 SEC) over the Razorbacks (11-3, 0-1) and help them tie for the best start to a season in program history. The Volunteers are tied with the 1922-23 team for the best start, according to the school.
NO. 10 KENTUCKY 106, NO. 6 FLORIDA 100 >> Koby Brea scored 23 points and hit seven 3-pointers off the bench to lead No. 10 Kentucky over No. 6 Florida in Lexington, Ky., handing the Gators their first loss of the season.
The Gators (13-1, 0-1 SEC) had cut an 80-69 Kentucky lead to 89-87 on Walter Clayton Jr.’s free throws with 4:40 remaining, but Lamont Butler hit a 3 as the shot clock wound down and added two free throws to help the Wildcats (12-2, 1-0) hang on.
ARIZONA 72, NO. 16 CINCINNATI 67 >> Jaden Bradley had 15 points, including two free throws that helped the Wildcats (8-5, 2-0 Big 12) clinch a win over the Bearcats (10-3, 0-2) in Cincinnati. Carter Bryant added 14 points and Caleb Love scored 12 for Arizona.
NO. 3 IOWA STATE 74, NO. 25 BAYLOR 55 >> Keshon Gilbert had 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Cyclones (12-1, 2-0 Big 12) over Bears (9-4, 1-1) in the Cyclones’ Big 12 home opener.
NO. 4 DUKE 89, SMU 62 >> Duke standout freshman Cooper Flagg had 24 points and 11 rebounds as the Blue Devils (12-2, 4-0), playing without ill coach Jon Scheyer, extended their winning streak to eight games against the ACC newcomer Mustangs (11-3, 2-1) in Dallas.
NEBRASKA 66, NO. 15 UCLA 58 >> Brice Williams scored 16 points, Andrew Morgan added 12 off the bench and Nebraska (12-2, 2-1 Big Ten) beat No. 15 UCLA (11-3, 2-1) at home.

No. 1 UCLA 73, INDIANA 62 >> Lauren Betts had 25 points and 12 rebounds and No. 1 UCLA shut out Indiana for more than eight minutes in the first half of a victory in its first visit as a Big Ten Conference member.
The Bruins (15-0, 4-0) were never seriously threatened after the Hoosiers (10-4, 2-1) missed five shots and committed seven turnovers during an 8-minute, 15-second drought in the first quarter.
Betts, a former Stanford player, made 12 of 16 shots for her ninth double-double of the season.
NO. 12 KANSAS STATE 77, TEXAS TECH 57 >> Ayoka Lee scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Kansas State (15-1, 3-0 Big 12) took control in the third quarter for a home win.
