FORT COLLINS >> Banner Health has acquired seven Village Medical clinics in the region, weeks after dozens of providers left Village Medical for UCHealth.

Banner has purchased primary care and walk-in clinics in Fort Collins, Longmont, Loveland and Windsor, bringing 46 providers to Banner Medical Group, Banner Health’s employed provider group.

Along with the providers, more than 150 support staff will join Banner, according to a press release. The clinics will be rebranded as Banner Health, with integration into the health system occurring in the next several months.

“We’re thrilled to continue building our strong network of primary care providers to this area,” Steven Loecke, Banner Medical Group’s Western Division physician executive, said in a written statement. “Banner is committed to expanding access to care in northern Colorado and ensuring that every patient receives the care they deserve.”

Clinic locations include: 1625 Foxtrail Drive, Loveland; 1683 Main St., Windsor; 2025 Bighorn Drive, 1113 Oakridge Drive, 3519 Richmond Drive and 2001 S. Shields St. in Fort Collins; and 205 S. Main St., Longmont.

Walk-in locations include: 3519 Richmond Drive, Fort Collins, and 1683 Main St., Windsor.

Information about the new primary care and walk-in clinics can be found at BannerHealth.com/WelcomeNoCo.

An email to a Village Medical spokesperson was not immediately returned Thursday.

Village Medical is a subsidiary of Chicago-based VillageMD, which entered the Northern Colorado and Boulder Valley markets in 2022, with the acquisition of Associates in Family Medicine, based in Fort Collins, and Rocky Mountain Family Practice, based in Longmont.

Banner is not the only hospital system expanding in the region. UCHealth announced in early April that it would add four new clinics to meet growing demand for health care services.

Banner Health operates Northern Colorado hospitals: Banner Fort Collins Medical Center in Fort Collins, Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley and Banner McKee Medical Center in Loveland, and more than 30 primary care and specialty clinics, including Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Joint Replacement Center of Northern Colorado.
