Shota Imanaga pitched seven effective innings and Ian Happ hit a three-run homer to help the Chicago Cubs hold off St. Louis on Saturday. Imanaga allowed one run and four hits in his second straight win. The Japanese left-hander struck out six and walked none while improving to 3-0 with a 1.31 ERA in his first seven starts at Wrigley Field.

Anthony Santander homered twice and drove in four runs, and Grayson Rodriguez worked seven solid innings to lift Baltimore past Philadelphia. Rodriguez (8-2) allowed two runs for the Orioles, who rebounded after an 11-inning loss to Philadelphia in the series opener. Baltimore led 3-2 before Santander hit a two-run shot in the eighth. Gunnar Henderson added an RBI single later that inning.

Six pitchers combined on an eight-hitter, George Springer scored twice and drove in a run, and Toronto beat Cleveland. Isiah Kiner-Falefa had two hits and rookie Addison Barger had his first big league RBI for the Blue Jays, who are 26-3 when scoring five runs or more.

DJ Herz struck out 13 and allowed one hit over six innings for his first major league victory, combining on a four-hitter that led Washington over Miami. Joey Meneses and Lane Thomas homered for Washington, which has won seven of eight overall and improved to 6-0 against Miami this year.
