Was Jan. 6 protest covered?

Did the Times-Call cover the rioting/protesting that was done at the nation’s Capitol where the Hamas flag was raised in place of the U.S. flag and the American flag was burned? I sincerely ask this as a question, because I might have missed it, though, I look at every page of the paper, unless somehow I missed a day. I’m truly interested to know if this was covered. It certainly should have been, as all Americans should be concerned about this going on in the Capitol without any repercussions.

Essential pilot training

Talk about selfish and judgmental, airlines are full, and there’s a pilot shortage, but some people don’t want local pilots to be trained for these jobs. Aviation is an important part of our transportation network that we all depend on. General aviation, airports, aircraft and pilots are a part of that.

Plastic-free July tip

As July ends and was plastic free month, I discovered a way to take out food and reduce plastic. Food trucks, if you bring your own container, they will accommodate you, and because we have a plethora of food trucks in every cuisine, you can really make a difference and support a small, struggling business.

More detail would be helpful

The article today to be on the lookout for a Toyota Sequoia that is wanted in relation to a road rage incident would be a whole lot more helpful if you had included the color of the vehicle.

Stop, with the permits

Seriously? The City Council wants to impose another tax upon us for open space? Why don’t they stop issuing permits for building upon building, and we’ll have the open space that we used to have?

More mid-size regional airports

The FAA that allows small engine prop pilots to basically ignore any guidelines established by local communities is just serving its own self-interest, which is to be a large, bloated federal agency that is more interested in expanding its power than serving the general public. If they were, they would stop funding airports like VBA and redirect said funding to creating midsize regional airports that would better serve the general filing public. And, they would work more aggressively to rid our skies of lead-spewing, toxic flying mechanical mosquitoes.
