Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx should immediately resign her office due to her making procedural and ethical missteps and then went further and tried to mislead the public. She has lost her integrity and credibility with the people that elected her into office. Foxx should know that the buck stops with her and she ultimately is responsible for what happens in her office. Do the right thing, your star doesn’t shine anymore.

The report is out about how Kim Foxx’s office handled the Smollett case. Let’s see how long it will take for her to throw out the race card. Especially if they suspend her law license and she has to step down from office.

We are surprised that Tinley Park decided to form a committee to deal with the disruption to the neighborhood caused by crowds attracted to the excessive decorations on Avon Lane. If Tinley would enforce existing ordinances regarding creating public nuisances, parkway usage, noise, permits, etc., the disruption would be eliminated. In politics, usually when a committee is formed, nothing is solved in a timely manner!

I watched a movie the other night. It was about a serial killer in the Soviet Union in the 1980s. A police officer was assigned to the case. He was continuously pressured to product results, but was offered little in terms of support. Outraged, he asked his superior how anything got done. His superior’s answer was that he got things done through hoarding favors, blackmail and other similar shady methods. That was the Soviet way. Sounds a lot like Illinois politics to me.

Just had to wish a sad farewell to one of the classic Italian dining eateries here in Orland Park for close to 5 decades, namely Traverso’s. Mama T’s pasta recipes definitely stood the test of time and one of my family favorites for spaghetti with meat sauce. All good things must pass, I guess, but wanted to thank the Traverso family and staff for a job well done in our community. You will positively be missed for sure!
