The Rooftop Rodeo Parade is ready to roll July 7 at 10 a.m. through the heart of Downtown Estes Park.
The parade is set to return to its historical route down Elkhorn Ave., serving as a free activity for locals and visitors looking to get in on the fun as the rodeo kicks off. Equestrian groups, service clubs, local businesses, youth groups, rodeo queens and more are invited to join in on the parade.
There is no entry fee required to participate in the parade and the deadline for registration is June 20. Visit rooftoprodeo.com/parade.html to sign up.
This year’s Rooftop Rodeo Parade route begins at Performance Park and ends at the Estes Park Events Center with Downtown Elkhorn Avenue and Bond Park serving as a few of the ideal spots for viewing. West Elkhorn Avenue from Far View Drive to Spruce Drive will serve as the parade staging area, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Elkhorn Avenue and all intersections will be closed from Spruce Drive to the intersection of U.S. 34 and U.S 36 starting at 9:30 a.m. Then, right around 10:15 a.m. U.S. 36 will close from the intersection of U.S. 34 and U.S. 36 and continue down U.S. 36/North Saint Vrain Avenue to Fourth Street. Fish Creek Road will serve as a detour route for westbound traffic on U.S. 36. All roads should be back open by noon.
The Parking Structure at 691 N. Saint Vrain Ave/U.S. 36 is scheduled to close to all traffic entering or exiting the Parking Garage from about 10:15 a.m. to noon. Vehicles parked there at 10:15 a.m. must remain there through noon.
Additionally, neither the Red Line nor Silver Line shuttle services will be running, but will resume service and routes once the scheduled closures are completed. This year’s parade theme, “Paint Estes Pink,” serves as a nod to Estes Park Health Foundation which has raised more than $500,000 for cancer care in Estes Park and are Rooftop Rodeo partners. The Paint Estes Pink and Mrs. Rooftop Rodeo campaigns are a highlight of the event every year, both helping raise crucial funds and spread awareness for not just breast cancer, but all cancer care. To take part in this initiative, downtown business-owners can decorate their businesses in pink to show support for the cause.
The rodeo itself will kick into gear following the parade. It begins July 5, and will run through July 10. Rodeo performances are 7 p.m. each night with a 6:45 p.m. pre-show. Tickets for the 2025 Rooftop Rodeo are up for purchase at rooftoprodeo.com.
