LEOMINSTER - Giuseppe Cappuccitti, known by friends and family as Joe or Peppe, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2024, in Leominster, Massachusetts, surrounded by his family.

He is predeceased by his wife, Immacolata (Tina), and sons Vincenzo and Enzo. He leaves behind his daughter, Gabriella Goodale, her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Zachary Goodale, his wife Gabrielle, Amanda Nicastro, her husband Timothy, Chelsea Goodale, her fiance Tinos Papadimoulis; great-grandchildren, Cecilia Nicastro and Aida Goodale; his sister, Loreta Di Vito, and her husband, Liberato; cherished family in Italy, Pennsylvania and Canada; along with a multitude of wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends.

Giuseppe grew up in Sora, Italy, where he met his wife, Tina. They immigrated to Leominster together with their children and established deep roots within the community. He worked at Foster Grant for 36 years until his retirement. He was a faithful, devoted parishioner of Saint Anna’s, Leominster, Massachusetts.

An avid sports enthusiast and accomplished soccer player, in 1973, he started his own soccer league in Leominster, traveling to various cities and towns in Massachusetts to compete. He supported both Boston sports teams and local Leominster leagues; on any given evening, you could find him at the softball field, football field, or bocce courts. In his later years, he loved taking laps around the Mall at Whitney Field and making friends with anyone willing to stop and chat.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Worcester County Food Bank.

Calling hours for Joe will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 4pm-7pm in the Richardson Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster, Massachusetts.

Funeral will follow on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at St. Anna’s Catholic Church, Leominster, Massachusetts, at 11am. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
