The Paul family’s loss is Heaven’s gain. Lolly passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family; she was 97. She embraced life with her overwhelming positive attitude, was a dedicated mother who loved her family more than anything, possessing boundless energy with a smile and a laugh that was unforgettable. Lolly’s memory was unsurpassed and could recall and tell a story like no other. She loved people and had an impact on everyone she met. She was the cornerstone of the Paul Family and will truly be missed.

Born in Havre, Montana to immigrant parents who fled the genocide in Armenia. She eventually moved to California where she met and married George Paul in 1950 and moved to Soquel in 1960. Lolly had an entrepreneur mind and was always looking for the “right” opportunity.

In 1970 she recognized that Santa Cruz could use amen’s only clothing store. Just like that she opened up Pants A Plenty in Soquel that specialized in Levis and Lee jeans for men. The store became the shopping and gathering place for years to come.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Paul and son Vaughn Paul. Lolly is survived by her brother John Malkon, her sons Jack Paul and Bob Paul (Carrie), seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Lolly will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, a private celebration of life will take place at a later date to be determined.
