A family dog attacked two men and a woman in a Norwalk house over the weekend, authorities said.

The attack occurred about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the 14100 block of Crossdale Avenue, sheriff’s Lt. A. Healey said.

It appeared to be a spontaneous attack by the dog, described as a pit bull, Healey said. Injuries ranged from moderate to minor.

One victim stabbed the dog three or four times, he said.

The Southeast Area Animal Control Authority picked up the dog. The animal’s condition was not available, Healey said.

Two victims were taken to a hospital for treatment by ambulance, he said.
