Soroptomists to offer career conference

The Soroptomists are offering a free career conference called “Dream It, Be It” meant for high school girls which combines fun with education.

The Soroptomists International of Bidwell Rancho and Soroptomist International are offering the one day conference.

Conference attendees will have access to mentors and role models while addressing topics such as how to overcome obstacles, how to set and achieve goals, balance stress, move forward after setbacks and failure and introdue them to different career opportunities, according to a press release.

The students will have the opportunity to listen and interact with women from a variety of careers and journeys. The day will include a free lunch and snacks. In addition, attendees will leave with a dream board, a journal to help them track their goals and a certificate of completion. The girls will also be able to apply for a small scholarship.
