


Wilkes volleyball fell to 2-7 on the year with a straight-set loss to visiting Widener University Tuesday night in nonleague men’s volleyball.
Set scores were 25-11, 25-22 and 25-19.
Jackson Shafer and Lucas Mages each had five kills to pace Wilkes. Joshua Conley added eight assists in the setback. Widener’s Matthew Christ had a match-high 10 kills.
The Colonels are back in action Saturday, traveling to Penn State-Altoona for a tri-match with the Lions and Saint Vincent College.
Men’s wrestling
Lycoming 31, Misericordia 16: At the Anderson Center, Misericordia jumped out to a 16-5 lead after five weights, but the Warriors dominated the heavyweights en route to the victory.
Nikosh Marston (133), Kruz McCusker (141), Michael Williams (149) and Chase Stephen (157) picked up the Cougars’ victories. McCusker and Williams each had bonus-point wins.
Misericordia falls to 2-2 on the year, and travels to Williamsport this weekend for the Rennie Rodarmel All-State Invitational hosted by Lycoming.
