Vandalism: On March 3, at 9:48 a.m., at the 100 Block of Pioneer Avenue, an unknown suspect threw a rock through the window of a business causing over $3,000 in damage.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery: On March 5 at 8 a.m., citizens reported a Kia Forte in the area of the 200 Block of Schuerle Street which appeared to be running and possibly collided into another parked vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and it appeared to be recently stolen but not reported. The owner was contacted and the vehicle was reported stolen and recovered for the victim.

Illegal Possession of a Firearm: On March 5 at 8;12 p.m., members of the Gang Task Force were on patrol conducting extra patrol throughout the City of Woodland. A member of the Gang Task Force took notice to a vehicle that was in the area of Muir Street and Cottonwood Street. The vehicle was occupied by Woodland resident Jessica Nguyen, 25 years old. When approached, the passenger stated her brother, Jeremy Nguyen, had driven her to her apartment and was upstairs (In the apartment). The officer knew 22 year old Woodland resident Jeremy from previous contacts and knew him to be on searchable Yolo County Post Release Community Supervision. A search of the subjects and the vehicle were conducted. During the search, a green and black in color Polymer80 “Ghost Gun” with a laser/light attachment was located. Both Jessica and Jeremy were placed under arrest for several firearm-related charges.

Shooting: On March 6 at 4:07 p.m., two subjects were driving in a vehicle. The vehicle stopped on Wisconsin Ave when the driver and passenger exited the vehicle and both fired handguns. The passenger and the driver both got back into the vehicle and drove away. No one was shot during this incident. This incident is still under investigation.

Burglary: On March 6 at 4:25 a.m., officers responded to multiple alarm calls at the Community Center. Officers arrived and located Trevor Gerow, a 29-year-old Woodland resident, actively breaking into a gated area and tool storage closet on the north side of the business. Gerow was arrested for burglary and transported to the Yolo County Jail.

HOST

HOST had members in training this week.

HOST was able to partner with HHSA and assist a long-term unhoused person towards resources.

HOST has been working with Walgreens towards long-term solutions to reduce the impact of the unhoused on the business.

HOST made 53 contacts, offered services to 27 of them of which five accepted services. There were 14 camps located and three camp cleaned up. There were 16 downtown patrols and three business contacts made.
