What it’s about: John Wick, well, he has a particular set of skills: killing people by the dozens.
The kid attractor factor: Teenage boys will want to see this brutal action film.
Violence: Wow, yeah, the whole film is violence, mostly by guns and knives but also by book and a dog. It’s violent to a mind-numbing degree.
Language: Some swearing throughout.
Sexuality: None.
Drugs: None.
Parents advisory: Mature teens only.
‘POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU’

What it’s about: It’s right there in the title: a Pikachu who is a detective! In this live action adaptation of the beloved cartoon/game/card collection, Pikachu teams up with young Tim to solve a case of corruption and a mysterious murder.
The kid attractor factor: The cuddly Pokemon characters and the familiarity with the brand.
Violence: Some action sequences, peril and some Pokemon battle scenes.
Language: A few scatological jokes, but nothing too strong.
Sexuality: References to a crush.
Drugs: None.
Parents advisory: This is a bit scary for the youngest kids, but otherwise fun for the whole family.
