


Following are the key changes to the Rockies’ major league roster as the team begins spring training this week at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Ariz.:
Additions
• RHP Dakota Hudson: Signed as a free agent to a one-year, $1.5 million contract. Hudson, 29, will compete for a spot in the starting rotation.
• RHP Cal Quantrill: Acquired from Cleveland in a trade for catching prospect Kody Huff. Quantrill, 29, is expected to win a job in the starting rotation.
• C Jacob Stallings: Signed as a free agent to a one-year, $2 million contract. Stallings, 34, projects to be the backup catcher behind Elias Diaz.
Subtractions
• RHP Chase Anderson: Free agent, has yet to re-sign with another team.
• RHP Tommy Doyle: Non-tendered by the Rockies, signed a minor league deal with Atlanta.
• LF Jurickson Profar: Released by the Rockies last August, signed by San Diego. He’s currently a free agent.
• RHP Chris Flexen: Free agent, signed a one-year, $1.75 million contract with the Chicago White Sox.
• RHP Connor Seabold: Released by the Rockies, signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization.
• C Brian Serven: Designated for assignment by the Rockies, was claimed by Toronto then outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo.
• LHP Brent Suter: Free agent, signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with Cincinnati.
• C Austin Wynns: Free agent, signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with Cincinnati, then was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville.
