Water conservancy programs give $1.7M to partners

The St. Vrain and Left Hand Water Conservancy District plans to give $1.7 million this year to community partners to address water and watershed issues, the district said in a news release.

Funds will help mitigate wildfire risks, improve farm irrigation, save water by reducing turf grass and enhance stream flows to benefit the environment, the release said. This is the fourth year that the district has provided grants through its Partner Funding Program. Partners include fire districts, local government agencies and ditch companies.

Broomfield-based Gogo updates its logo

Gogo Inc. (Nasdaq: GOGO), a Broomfield-based provider of broadband connectivity services for the business aviation market, updated its branding and logo after acquiring Satcom Direct Inc., a Melbourne, Florida,-based, in-flight communications company.

The Gogo company’s logo is now blue, reflecting the color scheme historically used by Satcom Direct. Gogo has also ditched its “Business Aviation” tag from its new branding.

The combined company’s military and government business division “will retain the SD Government brand, as will the SD Data Center, located at the Melbourne facility, the former headquarters for Satcom Direct,” the release said.

“These are both Gogo group companies but have very specific markets that are familiar with these names, which is why we are choosing to maximize this familiarity,” Gogo CEO Chris Moore said in the release.

Dean Callan & Co. hires Craig David

Boulder-based Dean Callan & Co.’s investment brokerage team recently added Craig David to its roster, the firm announced.

David will specialize in multi-family real estate, and will join forces with broker Christian Smith, whose 26 years of industry experience and track record of more than 50 closings per year have established him as a leader in Boulder County’s commercial real estate market, the firm said in a news release. Together, the two will provide strategic advisory services to investors looking to acquire, sell and optimize multi-family assets.

A Colorado native, David has a background in finance and more than a decade of personal investment experience.

New president named at Intermountain Health

Intermountain Health has named Kevin Jenkins as the new president of Intermountain Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette.

Jenkins previously worked as market CEO of Holy Cross Hospitals with CommonSpirit in Utah. Prior to that, he was CEO of St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood. He also has previously served in several administrative roles at the St. Anthony North Campus in Westminster.

“My career has been dedicated to focusing on strategic growth and expansion, emphasizing caregiver and provider engagement and retention,” Jenkins said in a news release. “I can’t wait to be a part of the amazing Good Samaritan team.”

Jenkins earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University and his master’s degree in health-care administration from the University of Washington.

Jenkins replaces Dawn Anuszkiewicz, who took on the role of president of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital and market leader in Puyallup, Washington.
