95 Years Concord Born in Southard, Oklahoma, Carroll graduated from Richmond Union High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Carroll’s professional career spanned several decades with Chevron.

He was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and doing a daily crossword puzzle. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was committed to his community, serving as a Boy Scout Assistant Scoutmaster and District Commissioner for the Mt. Diablo Council. He also volunteered with the Friends of the Pinole Library, and participated in numerous service projects with the Chevron Retirees.

Carroll is survived by his son, Keith Beard; daughter, Alicia (Dale) Huntley; stepdaughter, Debbie Davis; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Beard; grandchildren Ariel (Amr) Saad, Kayla (Ty) Lee, Ashley Muth, Aidan Beard, Joshua (Taylor) Davis; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra; his second wife, Patricia; his son-in-law, Craig Muth; stepson, David Davis; brother, James “Jack” Beard; and sister, Patsy St. Jean. In his later years, Carroll shared a cherished companionship with Rosalie Silva, whose presence brought him joy and comfort.

Carroll’s legacy lives on through his family, his contributions to the community, and the many lives he touched with his kindness and generosity. His ashes will be scattered at sea in a private ceremony.
