At its award ceremony on April 10, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1555 presented a certificate and monetary award to the Community Service Dispatcher of the Year recipient Randi Brewster. Brewster is a dispatcher with the Chico State University Police Deptartment, and was instrumental in the discovery of the fire at the historic Bidwell Mansion in December 2024, and the subsequent investigation and conviction of the arsonist.
