


THE GAME: Roki Sasaki struck out five in three scoreless innings in his Cactus League debut and the Dodgers rallied to beat the Cincinnati Reds, 4-2, Tuesday night at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz.
PITCHING REPORT: Yoshinobu Yamamoto became the first Dodgers pitcher to go four innings this spring. He gave up two runs on three hits in the first inning but retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced, three on strikeouts. ... Sasaki followed and gave up two hits, hit a batter, walked a batter and threw a wild pitch in his first two innings but stranded three baserunners. He retired six of the last seven batters he faced, three on strikeouts, and threw 46 pitches in all.
HITTING REPORT: Mookie Betts hit his first home run of the spring. ... Freddie Freeman was 1 for 3 with a double. Freeman is 4 for 11 with a double and two home runs in his first four spring games. ... Shohei Ohtani was 1 for 3 with a single that left his bat at 109.8 mph. In his first three spring games, Ohtani is 3 for 8 with a home run. ... Austin Gauthier drove in the tying and go-ahead runs with a single during the Dodgers’ three-run eighth-inning rally.
INJURY REPORT: Will Smith was hit in the left knee by a pitch in the fourth inning. He stayed in the game briefly then was replaced by a pinch-runner. Smith was scheduled to leave the game after that inning regardless.
