


Watsonville High’s baseball team beat visiting Seaside 16-0 in the teams’ five inning game, and the Wildcatz remained unbeaten in the Pacific Coast Athletic League Cypress Division on Tuesday.
Senior Patrick Miller-Brown had three hits, including a double, four RBI, two stolen bases, and scored three runs for the Wildcatz (8-9, 7-0).
The Wildcatz have produced at least 10 runs of offense in each division game and outscored opponents 104-16 with three shutouts. Six of the seven games have been called in the fifth inning on the mercy rule.
Senior Gabriel Lara had two hits, two RBI, and scored twice. Senior Rudy Valdez doubled and scored three runs. Seniors Francisco Rodriquez-Bermundez and Kaden Ortiz each had a hit, one RBI, and scored twice.
Valdez earned the complete-game win. He gave up three hits and one walk, and struck out 12 batters.
Watsonville plays at Seaside on Thursday at 4 p.m.
At Carmel 4, St. Francis 3 >> The Sharks knotted the score at 3-all in the top of the seventh, but the PCAL Gabilan Division leading Padres earned a walk-off win in the bottom half of the inning Tuesday.
Donovan Dominguez had two hits and one RBI for the Sharks (8-7, 5-6). Javier Fonseca hit a solo home run.
Matt Maxon had three hits, including a home run, and had three RBI for the Padres (12-4, 8-1).
Ty Arnold pitched 1/3 of an inning and earned the win in relief of Maxon. Fonseca relieved Evan Dyer, who struck out 11 batters over 5 1/3 innings, and took the loss.
St. Francis hosts Carmel on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Aptos 1, at Scotts Valley 0 >> Isaiah Work’s solo home run with two outs in the top of the seventh was the decisive run in the teams’ Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League game Tuesday.
Work threw five hitless innings in the win. He struck out eight batters and walked one.
Lukas Bloom broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.
Aptos (5-8, 2-4) hosts vs Scotts Valley (6-9, 2-4) on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Santa Cruz 8, at Harbor 2 >> Fernando DaCosta had two hits, including a double, two walks, and two RBI in the Cardinals’ SCCAL win Tuesday.
The Cardinals (9-4, 6-0) had nine hits and drew 11 walks. Caleb Cmaylo had two hits, one walk, and scored three runs. Matteo Caltabiano had a hit, two walks, two RBI, and scored a run. AJ Dacosta had a hit, walk, two RBI, and scored a run.
Joey Raffo and Naiche Fish each had a hit and one RBI for the Pirates (11-4, 3-3).
Winning pitcher Owen Rogers scattered three hits, five walks, and one run over five innings. He struck out seven batters.
Santa Cruz hosts Harbor on Friday at 4 p.m.
At Soquel 12, San Lorenzo Valley 0 >> Senior Enzo Goff had three hits, including a double, two RBI, three stolen bases, and two runs scored in the Knights’ SCCAL win Tuesday.
Cash Moran doubled, triple, had one RBI, and scored a run for the Knights (15-1, 5-1), who are ranked No. 6 in the Central Coast Section by maxpreps.com.
Connor Corlett and Noah Piona each had two hits, one RBI, and a run scored. Jake Escalante had a hit, two walks, one RBI, three stolen bases, and scored three runs. Hudson Summerrill had a hit and two RBI, and Brady Downs had a hit and scored twice.
Bennett Woolfolk had the lone hit for the Cougars (2-11, 0-6).
Sophomore winning pitcher Luke Shoemaker struck out six batters and walk three over five no-hit innings. Dane Morrison pitching a hitless inning, and Kane Humecky gave up one hit in his scoreless frame.
SLV hosts Rancho San Juan (7-9) in nonleague action on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Soquel plays at SLV on Friday at 4 p.m.

At Aptos 8, Scotts Valley 4 >> Kailani Aguayo had two hits, one RBI, and scored three runs in the Mariners’ SCCAL win Tuesday.
Lilly McGee had two hits and two RBI for the Mariners (7-5, 3-2). Nova Neu had one hit, two RBI, and scored a run. Bailey Fulton and Gwen Vaca each had a hit, one RBI, and a run scored.
Natalie Murray-Skalland and Jazzy Doubek each had a hit, RBI, and run scored for the Falcons (8-4, 2-1).

Watsonville alumna Rylee Gomez, Tyla Arbuckle, and Brianna Chambers Lee hit home runs for the Vikings (34-2, 11-1). Chambers Lee had two hits, three RBI, and scored twice.
Ashlie Nakano pitched 3 2/3 innings and picked up the win.
