It’s nice to see a state’s attorney charging criminals with retail theft. That is the state’s attorney in DuPage County doing their job. Unlike the state’s attorney in Cook County. I guess the criminals should stay within Cook County limits. — Bob, Oak Forest
Thank you Donna Vickroy for coming back. I missed your column. — Loraine, Oak Lawn
Welcome home, Donna Vickroy. The readers are ready for your insight. I enjoyed the Nov. 7 column and thought Donna’s been busy with the grandchildren, is she back? Well she is. Great article about Brad Moss and his triumph over COVID-19. We, your Southtown readers, are lucky to have you back. — Bernie B., Palos Heights
Congratulations to Ellie White, this year’s Daily Southtown player if the year. Can’t wait to see what you can do in the future. — Linda, Orland Park
To Leo of Oak Lawn who blamed President Biden about the high price of today’s Thanksgiving dinner. Turkeys are 33 cents a pound and I just got a letter in the mail about getting my tax bill reduced. — Judy, Chicago
Leo of Oak Lawn. The biggest reason why everything is higher priced nowadays is not Biden. It all started with Trump lying about the COVID-19 virus and putting this country in dire straits. If it wasn’t for Trump, we might not be playing catch up with our economy and burying so many people. Wake up, look in the mirror and realize Trump is just worrying about himself, not the fools who idolize him. — Bruce, Chicago
President Biden is now asking the Federal Trade Commission to investigate why gas and oil prices are soaring, saying the oil and gas companies may be acting illegal. It’s to push blame on some else. They should be investigating his policies that effect the supply chain. In the spring of 2020 Trump asked/told Saudi Arabia to raise oil prices because America was energy independent. What a difference a year makes! — CFR, Crestwood
