If you hadn’t heard about Marin’s private club before — not that one — you most likely know about it now — Marin Burger Club. Recently, IJ food columnist Leanne Battelle reported about the invitation-only club of 40 (give or take) Marin dads who have gathered at restaurants throughout the county once a month for the past decade to uncover the county’s best burgers. Who doesn’t love a good burger? Of course, most of us are aware by now that raising cattle not only wastes a lot of precious resources — water, land and energy — but also is a huge contributor to global warming, which has made much of the country and the world miserable with relentless 100-plus temperature the past few weeks. So it seems like a good time to riff on meat. In six words, of course. What’s your connection, or not, to meat?

If you want your story to run in the IJ, please:

• Write “Six-word story” in the subject line

• Send one story. Just one

• Include your full name and Marin town in the body of the email, no attachments

• Write your short story in the body of the email

• Use proper punctuation and spelling

• It should not rhyme

• Do not submit six adjectives — that’s not a story
