Ruth Justina Ruiz, 97, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025. She was born onAugust 6, 1927 to Leo and Clara Flores. She was the fifth child of ten children.

Ruth met Roy and they married in September of 1948. During their 74 years of marriage, they raised five children; Roy, Edward, Arthur, Andrew, and Penny. She was employed as a teacher’s aide and a substitute teacher.

Ruth had many hobbies including collecting dolls and making doll clothes, crocheting, sewing, and spending time with her large family and many friends. She was a kind and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all that were blessed enough to make memories with her.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, daughter, Penny, father, Leo, mother, Clara, six brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her sons Roy (Debra), Edward (Linda), Arthur, and Andrew, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Lou Sanchez.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held on April 8th at 11:30 am at Chapel of Flowers, followed by a Celebration of Life at Giorgio’s Italian Restaurant.
