The second season back in the Big 12 Conference will offer a handful of new opponents for the Colorado women’s soccer team.

On Wednesday, CU announced its 2025 schedule, as it takes aim at a third consecutive NCAA Tournament berth in the 14th season under head coach Danny Sanchez.

CU opens the campaign with six consecutive home games, beginning Aug. 14 against Michigan State. Two of those first six nonconference foes at home — Fordham (Aug. 21) and New Mexico State (Aug. 28) — are teams the Buffs will play for the first time.

The six straight home games to start the season will match the longest homestand in program history.

Colorado completes nonconference play with a pair of road games, visiting Wisconsin on Sept. 7 and Denver on Sept. 11, before opening Big 12 play at home against Kansas State on Sept. 18. After playing the first three conference games on the road last year to kick off the return season in the Big 12, the Buffs will play their first three league games this season at home, following the K-State matchup with dates against Iowa State (Sept. 25) and Houston (Sept. 28).

CU will play the four teams it missed last season in the Big 12’s rotating schedule — Houston, Arizona State, Arizona and BYU — although ASU and UA also were the Buffs’ conference rivals in the Pac-12. The Buffs have never played Houston.

The Big 12 tournament will be played in Waco, Texas, as well as Fort Worth, with a significant format change. Last year, the league’s first as a 16-team conference, the top 12 teams qualified for the conference tournament. This year, only the top eight will qualify for the tournament, which begins Nov. 3. The first two rounds will be held at Baylor, with the championship match set for Nov. 8 at TCU.

All kickoff times and television information will be announced at a later date.
