


SAN JOSE >> A man died after being stabbed in downtown San Jose early Thursday, according to the San Jose Police Department.
Police responded to a report of a disturbance at the 300 block of South Market Street at 2:34 a.m., authorities said. There, they found an adult male who was suffering from at least one stab wound.
Despite medical aid being given to the man, he was pronounced deceased at the scene, police added. His name had not been released as of early Friday afternoon, because his next of kin had yet to be notified.
The SJPD is investigating the incident as a homicide. No other information was immediately available.
It was San Jose’s eighth homicide of the year and the fourth within three weeks.
