Passed away in her sleep on August 17, 2024. Yvonne was born on April 10, 1938 in Belgrade, MN. She graduated from Belgrade HS as a Valedictorian and attended St. Cloud Teachers College in 1956-59 and graduated with honors with an Education Degree in Teaching English and Business. She taught HS in TowerSedan and Cokato, MN. Yvonne moved to Minneapolis in 1961-62.<br><br>She worked as a secretary in various companies until 1962 when she married Eugen Johnson who worked at IBM. She then had 2 wonderful children, Stacey 1967 and Chris in 1969. After Eugene graduated from the U of MN, they moved from Brooklyn Park to New Brighton, MN.<br><br>They lived there the rest of her life from 1970-2024. Yvonne worked for TIES a computer firm developed by many school districts around the state and retired in 2000.<br><br>In retirement, Yvonne loved to walk with friends, religiously rooting for all Minnesota sports teams and was active in local politics. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother will be greatly missed!<br><br>Preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Mabel; sisters, Kay and Renee; brother, Terry; and granddaughter, Christina.<br><br>Survived by her husband, Eugene; sister, Mary Jo; brother, Kenny; daughter, Stacey; granddaughter, Nicole; 4great-grandchildren, Mariah, Jordan, Hayden and Steffan Jr; son, Chris (Tracy); and their sons, Jacob, Lucas and Nick.<br><br>Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Christ the King Lutheran Church-New Brighton with visitation at 10 AM.<div></div><br>
