Victor Wembanyama has a new point guard: De’Aaron Fox is on his way out of Sacramento and headed to San Antonio.
Fox is one of the centerpieces of a trade agreed to by three teams, one that sends Zach LaVine from Chicago to Sacramento, Zach Collins from San Antonio to Chicago and Kevin Huerter from the Kings to the Bulls, two people with knowledge of the discussions said Sunday night.
Also in the trade: Jordan McLaughlin goes from Sacramento to the Spurs, Sidy Cissoko goes from the Spurs to the Kings and Tre Jones leaves the Spurs for Chicago. Sacramento set to get at least three first-round picks, one of the people said.
Fox is averaging 25 points, 6.1 assists and five rebounds per game this season.
CAVALIERS 144, MAVERICKS 101: Evan Mobley scored 22 points and Cleveland set a franchise record with 91 in the first half as the Cavaliers romped to a home win just hours after Dallas traded superstar Luka Doncic to the Lakers for Anthony Davis.
Darius Garland added 17 points and 10 assists as the Cavs improved the league’s best record to 40-9.
Sam Merrill made nine 3-pointers and Cleveland set a franchise record with 26 3s.
Cleveland scored a franchise record 50 points in the first quarter and opened a 45-point halftime lead.
Their 91 points tied for the third-most in a first half in league history.
CELTICS 118, 76ERS 110: Jayson Tatum scored 13 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter and visiting Boston rallied from a 26-point deficit to beat Philadelphia.
Tatum added 11 assists and seven rebounds. Jaylen Brown had 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Tyrese Maxey scored 23 points in the first half to help put the 76ers up by 23 at the break. He finished with 34.
GRIZZLIES 132, BUCKS 119: Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 37 points and visiting Memphis continued its recent mastery of Milwaukee.
The Grizzlies have won their last seven meetings with the Bucks, who last beat Memphis on Jan. 19, 2022. The Grizzlies won this one without star guard Ja Morant, who missed a second straight game due to a sore right shoulder.
Milwaukee lost for the fourth time in five games despite getting 30 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists from Giannis Antetokounmpo.
PISTONS 127, BULLS 119: Cade Cunningham had 22 points and 15 assists as Detroit beat visiting Chicago.
The Pistons overcame a triple-double from Nikola Vucevic, who finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
