Neither team has officially announced its starters for Tuesday’s game, but Blalock and Montero line up to take the mound.

Blalock, a rookie, pitched well in his first three starts but blew up Wednesday in Atlanta. He allowed four runs on four hits and six walks while striking out two over five innings. All four Atlanta runs came with two outs in the first inning when the Braves rocked the right-hander with two doubles, a walk, and a home run by Jarred Kelenic. Blalock has given up 11 runs (10 earned) in nine innings over his last two starts.

Montero did not receive a decision in the Tigers’ 6-5 10-inning loss to San Diego on Wednesday. He gave up five runs on seven hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out two. It was the rookie’s shortest outing since June 26 against Philadelphia. The five runs allowed matched a season high for the 24-year-old. Montero, who will be making his 14th start, hasn’t pitched more than five innings in his last five starts.
